• Katie Freel - National Champion!

  Year 7 pupil, Katie Freel, represented Braniel PS at the 2020 British Schools Elite Trampoline Championships last weekend in Southampton.

  Not only did she participate, but she came first place(!) with a score of 60.9, making her British Champion!

  Katie was also recognised by Northern Ireland Gymnastics and received a Certificate of Commendation for Elite Gymnasts for attaining a FIG International Standard of Performance!

  Amazing effort - we're super proud!

  

• Football Fun with Glentoran FC

  This week saw the conclusion of 10 weeks of football coaching for our Y7 pupils from Glentoran FC. This has been a fantastic programme with our children having lots of fun, increasing their skills and even having the opportunity to play at the Oval! Huge thanks to coach,Tim Wareing, for facilitating this. Check out the Y7 class page for more photos and videos.

  

• Braniel's Big Bedtime Read

  On Tuesday 3rd March, our Nursery children took part in the 'Big Bedtime Read'.

  This is a 'Ready to Learn' iniative and we were delighted to participate in the programme.

  The whole family were invited along to the evening. The children enjoyed Craft activities, while the Parents heard more about the programme and the benefits of it for their children.

  Everyone enjoyed pizza for our Big Bedtime super, and the eveneing ended with a lovely bedtime story. We were thrilled that so many families came along.

  We hope the Nursery children were pleased with their new book and puppet and that it will be enjoyed in their own bedtime reading at home.
