Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
Girls' football is class! Good football played in a determined but sporting manner makes it a joy to be at these games. Another fantastic performance ended in a draw today thanks largely to an inspired performance by the Gilnahirk 'keeper. All the girls played very well but special mention must go to Lily in Year 5 who made her debut - mini but mighty springs to mind! - Mr Poole
Well done everyone!
Team Braniel
The Y5/6 football team made it five consecutive wins with an impressive 0-3 victory away to St Joseph’s PS at Campbell College.
Goalscorers: Harlow, Jaxson and Alfie.
Thank you to all of the parents that cheered the team on. Focus now shifts to next week’s EDCO Cup Semi-Final against Holy Cross PS.

We were delighted to send a team of Y6 and Y7 pupils to the Belfast Schools Cross Country Championships at Mullusk this week. Conditions under-foot were challenging with a few of our runners losing a shoe in the mud but they all represented the school with heart and pride. Hopefully, with a bit more experience at racing over a longer distance, we'll be back to fill a few of the podium places!
Well done Team Braniel!
We are happy to announce that our dedicated staff recently completed a comprehensive first aid training program. This training equips our team with the knowledge and confidence to handle medical emergencies effectively.
Well done Team Braniel!
P.S. How many dummies can you spot in the pictures?
Our Year 7 pupils enjoyed a great day out of school as they walked through East Belfast to 'the Yard' to see where the Titanic was built.
The weather was kind as we walked down the Connswater Community Greenway to CS Lewis Square and onto the Titanic Museum.
The children enjoyed getting their photos taken beside the Nomadic, eating their lunch in the footprint of the Titanic and especially getting the bus home!
Hopefully they are all inspired to complete their Titanic projects!
We are delighted to announce that the pupils of Braniel Primary School have raised an incredible £948 for Comic Relief through their recent fundraising efforts on Red Nose Day.
A huge thank you must go out to Mrs Livingstone, Mr Poole and our amazing school council for their dedication and hard work in organising a bun sale and a "Guess the Red Noses in a Jar" competition.
Through the generosity of our school community, we have been able to make a significant contribution towards supporting worthy causes. This achievement is a testament to the spirit of kindness and teamwork that thrives within our school. Well done to all involved!

What a match today at Avoniel for our girls' football team!
Having trailed 2 nil, then 4-2, then 5-4 - our brilliant girls, inspired no doubt by this week's Assembly on perseverance, came back to win 5-6 in the final minutes.
Goals today from Brooke (2), Scarlett (2), Ellie (1) and Abbie (1) but credit goes to all of the girls who battled so hard and to Evie and Melissa who made some great saves too!
Thanks to Elmgrove for a great game, played in the right spirit throughout.
What a day to be alive!
A really cold day at Ashfield Boys' High School was brightened up significantly by the outstanding performance of our Y7 Boys' Football Team.
Despite being drawn in a difficult group, they managed to battle their way to an outstanding first place finish. With 2 Wins, 3 Draws and 0 Losses and, remarkably, zero goals conceded confidence was high. Unfortunately the semi-finals proved a step too far, when we were narrowly beaten 1 nil by a strong Hollywood team.
Huge credit to all the boys for their accomplished performances and, as always, their impeccable manners and sportsmanship!
We had a great day, despite the cold, and thank everyone at Ashfield for running such a great tournament.
Please come and see all that our fantastic school has to offer on Thursday, 21st December 12noon - 2:30pm!
Congratulations to our new Classes of the Week, Mr Poole's Year 7 class and Miss Sander's Year 7 class.
They were both awarded Class of the Week for their absolutely fantastic performance of 'Pirates of the Currybean'.
You were all amazing!
