Ditch the Stabilisers
Mums, dads, and grandparents in Years 1-3 came to school laden with helmets, bikes and pedals. With support from Sustrans and staff members the children were taught how to ride their bikes without the support of stabilisers. It was amazing to watch the delight of the children as they successfully mastered their new skill!
International Walk to School Day
Braniel Primary School pupils’ enjoyed this special day were they swapped one car journey for a more ACTIVE journey to school.
They wore their craziest socks to mark the occasion!
Silver Award
We are delighted to have been presented with the Silver Award by Sustrans at the end of last year. This school year (2018/19) we will be working hard towards gaining our Gold Award. There will be a continued focus on Active Travel to/from school as well as workshops and theme days to encourage safe cycling. Follow the link below to find out more about Sustrans.
