  • Ditch the Stabilisers!

    Fri 31 Mar 2017

Well done to all of the Y1 and Y2 Pupils who took part in our Sustrans Event ‘Ditch the Stabilisers’. The children worked really hard with Emma to improve their Cycling Skills. We are so proud of the progress they made today and hope the children will have lots of fun on their bikes; without stabilisers, over the weekend.

  • Year 7 Coding Week

    Fri 31 Mar 2017

Our Year 7 pupils have been given the amazing opportunity to pilot a new scheme entitled, "Creative Computing in Java."  While many other Primary Schools have been introducing Coding (also known as programming) in a variety of ways, we are the only school to expose pupils to the actual Java  language that is used by programmers.  This will prove extremely beneficial to our pupils as they move into Key Stages 3 and 4 ICT.

There is no doubt that the booklets we worked through were challenging, but everyone rose to the challenge and learned an amazing set of new skills in the week-long scheme.  We certainly have some potential future programmers in our midst!
